Big Boy Beds!!!!!!!!!

We Did It!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We moved to big boys beds in October and we couldn't be happier! The boys LOVE the beds and are excited about going to bed. If I knew it was going to be this good I would have done it weeks ago. We were planning to make the transition over the holiday break but Sean took a header out of the crib and landed on his head on the baseboard. That was the deciding factor about moving up the date. Well, that and the fact that they would yell "crib hopping" and run up the stairs and jump form crib to crib. These are the last pictures taken of them in their cribs. I have to admit I got a bit teary-eyed. Wow, to think that they were 3 month premature. We have come a long way.

A few minutes later we set up the beds.

As Howie was putting Ryan's sandals on over his socks (we ordered him new sneakers but they haven't come in yet) he looked down at his foot and said "Oh, like pop-pop!

How many boxes of tissues today??????

Ryan, Casey and Sean all have colds! The poor things, Casey has it the worst. His nose is like a facet. Every other sentence is "More boogies mommy, more boogies". I just feel so bad for them!
I just want them to feel better!

Only Casey napped today

An hour and a half after I put them down for a nap I had to get Ryan and Sean and bring them downstairs. As Ryan was climbing down the stairs he turned around and said to Casey, as if Casey could hear him, "bye bye Casey, I'll see you later." He had the most concerned look on his face. He proceeded to tell me that Casey was sleeping. It is the sweet, tender moments like this that fill me with joy.

Well, what a summer it has been. The boy's turned two and they are as fun as ever!

........and one year ago

People told me the time would fly by but I never thought it would go this fast!

Looking back at this picture I realize how lucky I am that I took the time to enjoy my babies at this age. I miss the toothless grins and the shinny heads.
